If you’re planning a wedding at Floral Hall in Everett, Washington and want photos that feel cinematic, timeless, and full of real emotion, this venue is such a beautiful choice—especially in winter. Olivia and Cole’s wedding day was vintage-inspired, family-centered, and filled with meaningful moments from start to finish, all hosted at Floral Hall.
This post shares what it’s like getting married at Floral Hall, why it photographs so beautifully, and a full wedding day story (plus tips that help your timeline flow smoothly).
Floral Hall is a historic Everett wedding venue with a warm, intimate feel—perfect for couples who want a day that feels classic but still personal. It has that timeless Pacific Northwest charm, and it works well for weddings that blend romantic details with a relaxed, genuine vibe.
Because everything can happen on-site (getting ready, ceremony, reception), it’s an easy venue for guest flow and for photography coverage from beginning to end.
Olivia and Cole’s wedding day was on a crisp winter day in January—one of those rare, bright PNW days where the air is chilly but the sun shows up early and stays. The energy all morning was pure excitement.
One of my favorite things about Floral Hall is how beautiful it is for the quiet, in-between moments—especially bridal details. The warm wood tones and the window light make the space feel cozy and timeless in photos, which is perfect for documenting the dress, rings, and all the little pieces you chose with intention.
Olivia spent the morning with their bridesmaids at Floral Hall, and you could feel how ready everyone was for the day to finally be here. Cole and the groomsmen were the funniest crew—many had known Cole since basic training and even earlier. It felt like a big “life moment” for everyone watching their best friend marry the love of their life.

First looks are always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day—and Olivia and Cole’s wedding had three.

One of my favorite things about Olivia and Cole is how “them” their wedding was. They love thrifting together—so much that it was a major part of their engagement session. So many of their wedding details were thrifted or handmade with intention.
Their priority for the day was simple: have it captured fully, from beginning to end, in a way that felt real.
Because this was a January wedding, we planned portraits earlier in the day. In winter, the light moves fast—and we wanted to make sure we had time for the full set of portraits (family, wedding party, and all the first looks) before the ceremony.
We scheduled golden hour portraits for a spot just a short walk from the venue, along a nearby public trail. The light coming through the trees was unreal—one of those PNW forest moments that feels soft, glowing, and completely timeless.
One of the best things about a Floral Hall wedding is that you can get that iconic evergreen-forest look without a long drive. If you want outdoor portraits, plan for a little walking time and bring warm layers (wraps, faux-fur capes, and cozy accessories photograph beautifully and keep you comfortable in winter).
If you’re planning a Floral Hall wedding, I typically recommend:

Everything for Olivia and Cole’s day happened at Floral Hall, which kept the timeline smooth and stress-free.
When the sun set, the venue naturally got darker—but that’s not a bad thing. It’s just part of understanding light as photographers: when to work with it, and when to shape it. I used flash intentionally during reception, and it gave the dance floor photos that energetic, fun, editorial feel that matches the vibe of a great party.
If you love candid, high-energy reception photos, Floral Hall is an amazing setting—especially with a photographer who’s comfortable creating clean, flattering light once it’s dark.
One of the most emotional moments of the night was the toasts. Hearing their friends and family reflect on watching them grow up—and how much they’ve impacted each other’s lives—was such a beautiful reminder that weddings are really about people.
