If you’re planning a Belle Chapel micro-wedding in Snohomish, WA, and want a venue that feels timeless, intimate, and effortlessly beautiful, this is one you need on your short list.
Erin and Joey tied the knot on February 26, 2026, surrounded by the smallest circle of their favorite people. With just 6 attendees (not including them and their 3-month-old son, Mason), this day was the definition of meaningful — the kind of wedding where every word lands, every laugh is felt, and the vows have everyone wiping tears.

As a photographer, I’m always looking for venues that do a few things really well:
Belle Chapel checks every one of those boxes.
The architecture and history are the kind you can feel the second you walk in — truly timeless. The space is designed in a way that allows the day to flow naturally, which is especially important for micro-weddings where things tend to be slower, more intentional, and experience-focused.
And then there’s the best part: stepping outside and instantly having access to a completely different backdrop.

Erin and Joey are locals, and their story is deeply rooted in Snohomish.
Erin never expected she’d come back, but Joey had already settled here after moving from Woodinville, drawn to a slower pace of life. That connection to place made it feel even more natural to document their wedding day beyond the chapel itself.
After their ceremony, we walked into historic downtown Snohomish to weave their story into their portraits.
This is one of the reasons I love micro-weddings: there’s space to slow down, be present, and tell a story that actually feels like you.
From the beginning, this day felt calm.
Erin and Joey are naturally relaxed, grounded people — and you could feel how deeply loved they are by everyone around them.
Their vows were intimate, emotional, and completely them. There were tears, laughter, and that quiet kind of certainty you can’t fake — the kind that says, we’ve found our family.
One of the biggest reasons this day flowed so seamlessly was the care behind the scenes.
The venue owner (who also officiated) has been part of Belle Chapel for over 20 years and brought a level of professionalism and warmth that made everything feel effortless. Having someone who understands both the logistics and emotional pacing of a wedding day makes a huge difference—especially for smaller, more intimate gatherings.
